Christmas 2009

We had a great Christmas 2009! As usual we both got spoiled. But most of all at Christmas, I am thankful for the true meaning of Christmas. I am so thankful for the birth of my Savior Jesus Christ. I am thankful for his life, his example, and his endless love and forgiving for all of us. I am also thankful for the spirit of giving and love that exists in the hearts of everyone at Christmas, I just wish it would last all year. I hope everyone had a wonder holiday season! Here are a few pictures from our Christmas morning.

Santa brought me some cash to buy a new camera lens! Yeah!!

One of our traditions is my parents always come over for Christmas breakfast!

After breakfast my parents always go to my brothers house to see what his kids
got. This year I went with them. It was so fun to see the excitement of the kids!
I miss that part. We were greeted at the door by my nephew who could hardly
speak he was so excited. He had to show us this....

He and his sister we lucky enough to get the coveted Zsu Zsu pets! I had never seen them but had heard so much about them. They got a whole little setup and I must admit they are pretty cool. Santa must have acted early to get that one. Good Job!

Family Christmas Parties

Stacey Family 2009

We had a fun party this year for the Stacey side of the family. We ate lots of yummy food! My mom always has a program where the kids and grandkids can sing a song or or do whatever they would like. Highlights from this years program were; Amber played her guitar, (way to go girl) Heath and Kolton sang Rudolph (Heath was such a great sport) and Micklee performed her famous shush girl dance. We had both sets of grandparents there and that made it extra special. Mom and Dad spoiled us all. Thanks to everyone for a great night!

Robison Family 2009

The Robison family parties are always very entertaining. For a new tradition this year, Jean read us a Christmas story. Brett sang Joseph for everyone (against his will-- we begged him. Thanks honey- your the best). Brett' s family always has a gift exchange and one of the famous gag gifts that resurfaces is tumor head. Brett was the last lucky recipient of tumor head, so this year we put it back in the mix. We bought a 12 pack of Pepsi and took out a couple and stuck tumor head inside. We knew whoever picked it would think they were safe. That is exactly what happened. My niece Jessica picked it as the very first gift. She totally thought she was getting just pop. She was shocked and almost started crying-- so her big brother Shawn was a good sport and he stole it from her. Shawn is modeling tumor head in one of the pics above. Our Nativity was a little different this year. We have no babies to play the baby Jesus, so Cameron, my 18 year old nephew, was baby Jesus. It was pretty funny! I am so grateful that both our families live close by so we can spend our holidays with everyone!

Go Jazz

For those of you who don't know- my dear grandma is the Worlds Biggest Utah Jazz fan. And I must admit that over the years she has rubbed off a little on me. Each year we try to take her down to at least one game. My mom and I always joke over who has to sit by her because she gets really into the game-- you know yelling, screaming, and even some cussing!!. I lost this year so I was right next to her. I did come home with a few extra bruises. She would pound on me when she would get nervous. I must say we chose one of the best games. The Jazz played the Spurs and it was nail bitter. The Jazz won by 3 points. So close! The last two minutes were so intense! Can't wait for next years game!

Temple Square

Last weekend we went down to Salt Lake to see the lights at Temple Square. They were beautiful as usual. Christmas just isn't the same if we don't make it down there. We went to Temple Square on Monday night at about 5:00, and it was probably the least busy I have ever seen it. We are usually there on a weekend and you can hardly move. Lesson #1 learned-- go on a weeknight if at all possible. By the time we left my fingers were numb. I didn't wear gloves because I was snapping pictures the whole time. Everyone else was just fine! I'm such a dork. Lesson #2 learned-- dress warm and WEAR gloves. Oh well- here a just a few of my pics-

A Makeover!

Yea- I finally made the time to give my blog a new makeover. I was having problems with getting my old header the correct size, so for the last few weeks I haven't had one. Then last week we got our pictures back from my good friend Nicole, so I decided to just sit down and get it done. The header still turned out a little large, but I am just leaving it! No more time messing around. Anyway- I thought it would be a great time for me to put a plug in for Nicole. She is a photographer just starting out, but I think she is doing great! I love that she has her own style! Definately non traditional, which I envy. Nicole, I wish I was as creative as you girl. So if you are in need of a photographer check out her site and see what you think.http://nicoleklinglerphotography.blogspot.com/

A Pickley and some Princesses!

Meet my adorable niece Micklee (aka Pickley). Last weekend we also had a girls weekend! My mom, sister, grandma and I all got to kidnap my niece and take her with us. Micklee is only three and she was so good! I begged my mom to see if we could take her. We got tickets to Disney on Ice. The theme was Disney Princess and it was so cute! The skating was terrific, and I have to say I was very entertained. Leave it to Disney to put on such a wonderful show! We saw all the Disney Princess: Belle, Aurora, Cinderella, Snow White, Jasmine, and Ariel. Micklee was on my lap for part of the show and she was so funny. She kept telling me this was the bestest show ever! We also managed to get some card playing and some shopping time in. It wouldn't be a girls weekend without shopping. And I must say, Micklee fits right in with us. She can shop with the best of them. She is so cute how she looks thru the racks. She found a horsie sweater she just had to have! And can you guess who bought it for her? Yep! I'm a push over!

Here is a pic of me and Pickley at the show. Don't mind that the railing looks like a gun pointed at my head. I didn't have time to Photoshop it out.

I got lots of Old Maid playing time in too! Thanks Micklee, I love that game!

Micklee's favorite Princess---Jasmine! I didn't have many pics turn out of the show. When you put darkness and moving skaters together, it doesn't make for very good pictures.

It wouldn't be Disney without these two!

My favorite face! She calls it the Shaka Laka face! She kept us laughing all weekend.

Thanks to her parents for sharing her for the weekend! She was the life of the party!
