Birthday/Valentine Getaway

Look who had a birthday!!

Brett's birthday is the day after Valentines day, and this since Valentines was on a Sunday, we both took the day off Monday and decided to make a weekend of it. We went to Utah for the weekend and had a great time. The night before we left I made him a Rocky Road Cake. I felt bad he didn't actually get it on his birthday-- but better early than not at all. We ate some of the yummiest food in Utah. One of he ladies I work with knew that ever since Brett and I had Philly Cheesesteak sandwiches in Philly we have been trying to find ones that taste that good! She told us about a place called Moochie's. It was on Food Network's "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives." I must say it is kind of a dive but the food was great! Almost ...as good as Philly. For our Valentines Dinner we ate at one of my favorite places, PF Changs. YUMMO! We waited an hour and a half but it was worth the wait. You probably think from the sounds of this post that all we did was eat! Not true. We also went down with the intent to do some furniture shopping and we did just that. We went to our favorite furniture store and ended up getting Brett a nice, BIG, comfy lounge chair. We also got a couple pieces of our bedroom set. Now it is complete and I am so relieved. I was worried we might wait to long and not be able to get it. We also went to another fun place we like down there that is a restaurant supply store. They have everything for the kitchen you could ever want. I never want to leave when I am there!! BAD! All in all it was a great weekend. I am so grateful for such a wonderful hubby, and for weekends away together. Hope you had a great birthday Brettle!
